Eastman Lake

On this page, you’ll find a summary of USACE rules, regulations, procedures, and general information for hunting at the Lake.  Warning shot!!!  These are in addition to general USACE regulations for all project areas, as well as all applicable Federal, State, and local law (e.g. CDFW hunting regulations).

Hunting

  1. Big Game: Deer (rare) and wild pigs (rare)
  2. Furbearers: raccoon
  3. Nongame: Bobcat (rare)
  4. Small Game: cottontail rabbits
  5. Upland Game Birds: morning doves, California quail, and Turkey (rare)
  6. Waterfowl: Canada geese and mallards
  • Archery: allowed but must be unloaded while being transported and rendered inoperable in the campgrounds and other public areas (e.g. case and take apart)
  • Bikes: allowed
  • Boats: allowed

  1. Wildlife Management Area/Monument Ridge: open all year above the Raymond Bridge
  2. Lakeview Trail/Raymond Bridge: closed to hunting from December 1 through July 15 doe to nesting eagles (see article)
  3. Lake: from a boat north of the 5 mph buoy line
